Details Of The Reggie Bush Scandal
It looks as though Reggie Bush’s days as a Heisman winner are definitely numbered, considering that he is about to lose the trophy. The New Orleans Saints Star and former USC player is about to be stripped of his title by the Heisman Trust.
Details around the Reggie Bush scandal are not incredibly descriptive, but here is what you need to know so far.
The Heisman Trust conducted an investigation and determined that Reggie Bush was acting against NCAA standards for holding the trophy title.
Apparently the running back received gifts and benefits while playing at USC, which is in violation of the rules of the NCAA. This is sure to be a huge embarrassment for Reggie and will no doubt affect his football career going forward. He is the first player in history to ever have the Heisman award taken away.
So far, the tropy is not set to be passed on to anyone else this year.

D commented on Sep 07 10 at 10:26 pmWhy was Bush singled out for investigation? As far as I’m concerned, the wrong organization was investigating the wrong Bush.
M young commented on Sep 07 10 at 10:33 pmWho cares; this is no reasons to lose the trophy; the committee needs to investigate other Heisman Trophy winners.
Brigitte commented on Sep 07 10 at 11:31 pmthis is nonsense. I thought the man killed someone to loose his trophy.
L.King commented on Sep 08 10 at 1:27 amIf it is proven to be true, another idiot tries to circumvent the rules. Serves him right and others to learn.

pelaine13 commented on Sep 15 10 at 6:18 amWho cares, every time those young players go on the field they risk their life for those college teams, maybe they should be paid for their work, everyone else is. Sure they get an education for free, but that degres is 4 years down the road and if they get hurt, their is nothing. The trophy should be based on performance. The committee should look at it’s dumb ass rules.
Sadat commented on Sep 15 10 at 10:09 amPeople these days have to much time on their hands. R. Bush was in college FIVE years ago. Someone please tell these HT Officials to move on…
Dave commented on Sep 15 10 at 2:20 pmRules are rules. Why do people make these things so complicated. He was still the best and that can not be taken away. You do wonder why he was investigated though five years later. Either some people have whole lot of time on their hands or something surfaced.
The Mad One commented on Sep 16 10 at 8:50 pmHow in the heck is this going to affect Reggie’s future football career? Is he supposed to give back his Super Bowl Ring? I think not!! I’m hoping this will force Reggie to run the football with REAL ANGER and he’ll help his team win a couple of more Super Bowl rings and he’ll make millions of dollars so he’ll never need to work again. By the way, since Reggie returned his Heisman Trophy and USC completely turned their backs on him, will the NCAA and USC return all the money they made off of Reggie Bush?? I think not… Damn Hypocrites!!
Whitney commented on Sep 16 10 at 9:29 pmIf they are going to take his, which they have, they should investigate everyone. And the schools and Heisman Trust shouldn’t get money off these kids and not let them have anything. It’s ridiculous. My school gave me five grand in living expenses and paid for school and dorm. Just basically wrote me a $5,000 check every semester and I didn’t bring any money in for them. Is someone gonna come along and take my degree? They SHOULD pay these kids who give all of themselves to these programs so that someone else can make money. It’s sad.
justin commented on Sep 19 10 at 7:59 amthe way i see it there is a reason USC has put up the kinda numbers they have. 2 heisman winners in what 2-3 years, there is a reason for that. And most of these players come from the gutter you think they aint gonna take money to play football….if im poor and someone said ill pay you cash to do something you love to do i think its a no brainer…
Koach commented on Sep 20 10 at 9:51 pmI agree with rules are rules. During the period RBush was being evaluated for the Heisman, was he eligible to compete is the question. Based on the ‘NCAA investigation’ RBush became ineligible due to accepting unauthorized benefits. Therefore Heisman Trust is in their right to ask for the trophy back because it was awarded to an ineligible recipient. To allow RBush to keep the Heisman Trophy is sending the message it’s o.k. to break the rule (cheat) and then be rewarded with accolades.
