Bachelor Pad: The Men Choose Love Over Money

TYG 007036 1 200x300 Bachelor Pad: The Men Choose Love Over MoneyOn Bachelor Pad Episode 5 last night, I really expected the backstabbing to be totally out of control now that the cast members are getting closer and closer to winning $250,000 at the end. Let’s be honest, couldn’t we all use $250,000? I would pretty much expect any person on the show to do whatever it took to get their hands on that money.

I was actually kind of shocked last night when the men in the group proved to be a lot more interested in the girls than I expected. It actually appears that they all chose the possibility of love over winning the money.

The remaining contestants are playing as couples now, which was determined in the first challenge of the night on Episode 5. The four remaining men had to choose one girl to be their partner by asking her to accept a kiss.

Kiptyn and Tenley

Kiptyn was the first man to go, and he paced back and forth trying to decide whether to go with his heart and choose Tenley, or to pick Nikki to be his partner since she’d already helped him get so far in the game.  He ultimately chose his new lady love, and they seem more enamored with each other than ever. He said that he made a decision to “go for it” with Tenley, and added that he “feels honored to have such an amazing woman in his life.” I don’t know about you, but I think these two are the real deal. I’m predicting that they will be married and that Tenley will be sporting a baby bump by the time Bachelor Pad Season 2 rolls around.

Kovacs and Elizabeth

It definitely would’ve been in his best interests strategically to go with another partner, but Kovacs of course, wound up offering Elizabeth a kiss. These two are kind of hard to figure out. One minute they seem really in love, and then the next minute, Kovacs seems like he wants to run for the hills. He did say that he thought that Elizabeth was looking for something more serious than he was, but then he told her how much he cared about her later in the night. Of course, it was right after they had “sealed the deal” in the fantasy suite after sneaking upstairs. Elizabeth then said, “I love you” to Kovacs, and he replied with silence. The verdict is still out on this couple for sure.

Dave and Natalie

Of all the people in the house, I would’ve pegged Natalie and Dave as the least likely to wind up in a relationship, let alone one with each other. They both have kind of a “party hard” image, but they seem to have met their match in one another. Dave didn’t hesitate for one second when he picked Natalie to be his partner, and he seemed pretty excited about how much their relationship has grown. They enjoyed a romantic overnight date on last night’s episode, and the walls definitely came down between them. Dave opened up about his tragic past with his father, and Natalie revealed how important love is to her, and then they engaged in plenty of hot tub smooching.  Call me crazy, but I think that we can expect to see Dave and Natalie together with a couple of kids on a future reunion show.

The competition is heating up…will love or money win on the Season Finale next week? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

I think all these people are rich cause none of them seem to be interested in the $250,000! This show is turning out to be The Bachlerette/Bachelor Show and the money is a bonus to the couple who finds true love. I am disappointed because strategies have been thrown out the window and it’s gotten too lovey dovey for me.I was looking for a “different” twist with this show.
