Little People Big World Divorce? Is it Over for Matt and Amy Roloff?

roloff family 300x206 Little People Big World Divorce? Is it Over for Matt and Amy Roloff?

Matt and Amy Roloff are finished!  Yep, the family that has become an institution at TLC in Little People Big World are done – at least when it comes to filming their hit show.

But as the show makes it’s sixth and final premiere questions have begun to arise about the status of the reality stars real-life marriage.

Are Matt and Amy Roloff from TLC’s Little People Big World headed for divorce court?

Anybody who watches the show knows that Matt and Amy are believers in showing the reality of their family – bickering, fighting, nagging, and all.  So every time the show is set to premiere, the editors over at TLC deliver a fresh set of promos with highlights of their best disagreements that set tongues wagging that this may be the season we see the couple split up.  Every year ends with the same outcome, Matt and Amy continuing to butt heads and yet live with each other’s differences.

This season is no different.  They argue about Matt’s recent health scare.  She nags him to take better care of himself.  Matt tries to take control of a family yard sale much to Amy’s dismay.  They meet the challenges of watching their kids grow up and leave home both together and separately.    Matt and Amy exit (bickering) into the sunset of reality tv.

Catch the Roloff family and their last season of adventures beginning tonight at  9 / 8 CST.

I feel that Amy and Matt will work out their differences. Once the cameras stop rolling they will be able to keep their private life private.

THE ONE AND ONLY REAL LIFE SHOW. My husband and I have really enjoyed this family. Bring back this show and make us all happy!

Patricia McKee commented on Sep 07 10 at 2:06 pm

I loved their show. I was sad when I heard that this is their last show. Keep it going. I think the whole family is great and I don’t think that Matt and Amy will split.

Laura Reese commented on Sep 07 10 at 6:10 pm

I am going to be lost without the show, TLC should try to keep this show, I will not have any reason to watch TLC anymore truely disappointed.

TLC is television at its best! The best of the best is LITTLE PEOPLE BIG WORLD. Please don’t let this show go!!!!

Carol commented on Sep 08 10 at 1:56 am

Really hate to see this show cancelled. It’s gotten better with age, particularly during the last two seasons. Despite the divorce “drama” that has been interjected into the show, Matt and Amy, along with their kids, are just great! ***

With the twins entering adulthood and the two younger children emerging from the shadow of their older siblings it seems to me you would have a freshening dynamic that would seem to make this show even more interesting. Add to that the growth of Amy and the continued adventures sparked by Matt, and you have a show that is just starting to get good. ***

I hope you take another look and reconsider your decision to scrap the show.

Terry Brennan commented on Sep 08 10 at 5:02 am

wow. I am really going to miss this show and family. Amy is sincerely the best. Its the last REAL real reality show on the TV. Kate plus 8 and 19 kids are contrived reality where they are CONSTANTLY taking trips and endorsing crap. dull. Good Bye best TLC show :(

Eric Corgan commented on Sep 08 10 at 10:42 pm

Our family will sure miss the show. If this is TLC’s decision to cancel the show I sure hope the reconsider

Mary Ann commented on Sep 12 10 at 9:49 pm

I think Zack story line is on the show way way too much.
Amy really favors him.
The show is great maybe the show should show more of amy being femine come on what Mother plays soccer with her grown sons team. coach or no coach.
Zack is very disrespectful to his father.
I think that he is an Mommy’s boy.

This is the only TLC show that I watch, I’m sad to see it end. The Roloffs are such a likeable, down to earth family…I cannot stomach the Duggar, or Kate and her 8 kids…bleck!!!!

Jean commented on Sep 13 10 at 9:10 pm

Amy please don’t forget about Molly and Jacob. Poor little Jacob tends to get lost in the mix. You were there for the twins until they graduated so please be there for Jacob. Wait until he has graduated before beginning a full time career. Especially one that will take you out of town for extended periods of time.

Louise commented on Sep 14 10 at 12:08 am

I wonder why all the focus is always on the twins??? it seems like Molly can get away with everything! She is 16 years old and never do you ever see her helping Amy do any dishes or cleaning up that house! The boys are the one that get yelled at all the time to do everything its there fault so what about Molly do some laundry help out around the hosue with cleaning your mom sure deserves some help!!

lisa commented on Sep 15 10 at 4:55 pm

I hope that TLC will have LPBW specials from time to time.

MariaC commented on Sep 16 10 at 6:43 am

I love LPBW. I hope they stay together and that the show continues. I can’t stand the Duggars and Kate dresses like a prostitute and she’s a drama queen.

Danis Klatt commented on Sep 16 10 at 8:34 pm

Wow everyone needs to stop ragging on the Duggars they are a very hard “team” working family and we enjoy their show god bless them. Kate looks great for having 8 kids and you all are just jealous (HATERS!) I don’t know how she does it and I don’t think people should criticize unless they could step in her shoes as a single mother with 8 kids for one day!

Now about LPBW I am truly surprised the divorce rate is too much to handle these days. How ever maybe taking a break from the show will help their marriage in that case I say do what you need to do. It was very REAL… a wonderful show to watch with my husband and kids and how critical of everyone Amy is a great mom. I wonder how great your parenting skills are when you get in front of a camera. We will miss you:(

Helena Helman commented on Sep 18 10 at 5:00 pm

What is the name of the Roloff’s cat?

GatorB commented on Sep 20 10 at 8:59 pm

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS. I FEEL LIKE I AM LOSING SOMETHING. HOW WILL I FIND OUT HOW THEY GROW UP. ONCE IT IS OVER IT IS OVER BUT IT WAS GREAT WHILE IT LASTED .WONDERFUL KIND PARENTS .

kay kirby commented on Sep 28 10 at 10:37 am

I enjoyed the show the first few seaons, but how many family vacations can anyone stand to watch.

carol Hudson commented on Sep 29 10 at 7:54 pm

Matt is a classic narcissist – his love for himself has grown since the beggining of the show, but narcissism always does grow over time. He LOVES himself and has no room in his heart left for anyone else. Even the dearly departed Mike was a better father to Zach and Jeremy than Matt ever was.

Matt let the money go straight to his head – the money fueled his meteoric narcissistic rise during the course of this show (the money changed him irrepairably into a different person).

Funny how some folks on here say Amy is the source of the house not getting clean…when did it become some fancy law the mother and wife is the person charged with house cleanliness? That’s just backwards caveman thinking and that type of thinking needs to die off with the folks who think it – quickly, then the world can become a much nicer place without your sexist ways. The dirty socks and shirts and trash don’t need a woman to pick them up, any old hand will do.

I too believe Matt is addicted to some kind of substance (likely alcohol) and with his newfound narcissism, he’s also addicted to himself.

Sad – Matt would have lead a completely different life had it not been for the fame and fortune (the fuel of his narcissism) – can’t turn back now – now Matt charges many thousands of dollars to give a motivational speach!! How Christian that is to help your fellow man, woman and child, but not unless they pay you a giant sum of U.S. Dollars….even Jesus is turning over in Heaven at that one. Let Matt look Jesus Christ in the eye and tell him he’s “CHRISTIAN!”

Matt loves Matt and MONEY!!!

My favorite show on tv. Sad to see it cancelled! Hope TLC bring it back in the future.

Thelma Brown commented on Oct 17 10 at 3:58 pm

Honestly folks; good riddence to this show. Like other reality shows, it’s time to put in on the shelve as for whatever reason, money, fame et al seemingly turns individuals into arrogant, egotistical “me” narcissists.

It’s not Matt who’s changed since the inception of this show. He was the only one who was the constant (yes, driven, motivated, hard working). Without him, there’s no farm, mansion, cars for everyone, education for the kids (only Molly seems bright enough to pursue post secondary education). On the other side, Amy has turned (or always has been) a complete beatch! I’m mean really, everything that she was attracted to in Matt prior to the show, is now everything she can’t stand. I would have to guess that she can now see that their combined bank account is large enough for her to set sail to new frontiers. Lazy, spoiled kids, really quite pathetic….Yeah, Amy you can become a full time public speaker or events coordinator…Give me a break, even with the show edited, you are honestly one of the worst speakers I’ve seen….

Bon voyage Roloff family. Matt, pls jetison the deadweight wife and boot the twins off into the sunset. Amy is nothing without the kids, and has absolutely nothing to fall back on once they leave for good. OH wait, she’ll be shacking up with little ol’ Zachary and live happily ever after….Ewwwwwwwww…..

Rory commented on Oct 18 10 at 9:23 am

TLC I am so sorry to see this show is cancelled. Matt Roloff has made this such a fun show. He is the most industrious person I’ve ever seen. I do hate to think of a divorce hanging over them, but, Amy’s disatisfaction has been evident for a long time now. Matt comes up with all these great fun ideas and provides the means for them to be able to have everything they want and to be able to do everything they want, I feel sorry for him. I’m sure the show was one of his many excellent ideas and now that his health has given them a scare, it seems like the whole bunch is abandoning him. Amy, honestly, you may coast on the wings of the show for a while, but, without Matt, I honestly don’t think there would have been so many public speaking offers coming your way. Re-think what has been, what is and what could be if only you remember the joy and go along for the fun of it like you did at first. You two have it all honestly and you don’t find that spark with too many people in life. That joie de vivre whether up and going or sitting beside one another looking at the moon and stars. Yes, I think there are loads more stories to tell. The boys in their lives on their own, the younger set, as Molly becomes a young lady and figures her way in all this and your youngest, Jacob, is really trying to sort his way, too, but right now he rides on the coat tails of his role model, Jeremy. It will still make good t.v. seeing what new adventure the family gets in to, but, perhaps, the Roloffs would like some private time after all the t.v. hooplah? I hope it has been a mutual decision and not merely a cancellation. I do hope TLC reconsiders. The Roloffs have such a good show. Kate has become a caricature of herself and I’m glad she seems to realize the shrew she is and has actually embraced it and owns it now. She laughs at her own quirks which is a very good thing, even if she chooses not to change. I always felt sorry for John when she would ream him on camera to get the attention back on herself. Everyone knew that separation had to come. Sad for the kids though. The Duggers are just gross and they are reducing themselves to a DNA experiment to see how far they can go before they start birthing really damaged children. It seems unfair to the children, I can’t watch it, it feels like enabling them to continue.

The Roloffs are so much better than both of those shows.

If its truly goodbye, I feel like friends are moving away and I won’t see them again. That is sad. Its been nice to be a voyeur on their life for a while. Thanks for sharing all the realness of your lives Roloffs. You’ve all been wonderful. Please remember not to shut your Dad out, Dad is why you are what you are and where you are today. Amy, have a career, reach for your dreams, but, when you fly too close to the sun and your wings get singed, remember who’ll be there to catch you and provide for you and the kids. Or is there more to the Roloff story than we know? Hope you all continue to keep in touch with your fans via your website(s). We won’t forget you. You folks are the Cleavers (Leave It To Beaver) of the Y Generation.

Love and Sincere Respect and Best Wishes to You All,

Shirley

Shirley commented on Oct 18 10 at 12:54 pm

TLC doesn’t have that much to offer. Kate has become contrived and overprocessed. The Roloffs crack me up and inspire me at the same time. Yes, the kids could do more, but I have a 21 yr. old who pretty much acts the same as Jer and Zach. I would love to continue to see Molly and and the little guy grow up. Matt and Amy are basic, hard working folks with incredible odds against them – that they do not use as excuses to be on ssi or welfare, but work hard and pursue ways to help others. TLC should really re=think this cancellation!

I am sorry also that the show is leaving. I know it is not the greatest show on earth but they have become like family to me and I loved to watch it. I hope Matt and Amy maybe go to some counseling or something I think they are like a lot of couples the years make them forget how they used to feel about each other and Amy is kind of picking up an attitude like her Father. Anyway wish we could follow them on a few more years I mean what do the Duggar off and you are keeping them on. They are such Holier then thou people I mean go jogging in long dresses I used to belong to the Independent Fundemental Baptist know their mentality. I mean enough is enough what is going to be wrong with the next baby and don’t they realize a woman’s body can only take so much. I think it is real selfishness on the husbands part. He just has to help produce them not carry them. Things might be different if he did.

Really sorry to see the show end..They are alot of fun..drama and all..contrary to some of the comments..Amy is a well educated and strong woman..did some forget she is a school teacher..soccer coach..etc..I think she is a great mom..Matt is great at times and a drama king at other times…I think the focus on the twins is due to the fact that one is a little person and the other is not..Whatever happens..May they always remember that they can do anything and have proved such..as for Kate..I agree with the person who said be a mom of 8 for one day..then say something..I watched from the onset of Jon&Kateplus8 and I dont know how others missed his arrogrance..moodiness and boohoo pity me Im just a kid too attitude..and Kate has said on more than one occasion that she should have done things differently..He cheated rememeber..
As for the Duggars..they are also Phenominal…Wishing each family much happiness, love and God’s Blessings..

this show was quite wholesome in the beginning and it really began to collapse this family to smitherens. it drew the couple apart, the twins apart and the other two kids had almost no parts. i think with professional counseling the couple has a chance. but they need to band together and at the same time agree to disagree. they have both changed. not just the one. the problems have been stacking up because once they started a disagreement one of them would just walk away mad. never stayed to solve thinggs. to compromise, which is a good soiid part of being married and being happyly married. if i were a part of that family my advice would be, the grandparents need to be more involved, more there, take on a thing or two off amy’s plate. also, i would make it so that both amy and matt could take a break. not a vacation break. a break from what is driving them apart. they are both very good people inside but very very selfish right now. matt needs to stop with the projects and sit down with amy for a good month or so and go through the basica. they need to put their marraige first. right now the money has given them both an escape to not deal with the problems that very much exist. this family is broken. matt, stop the projects and the me me me. pay attention to your wife. you’re about to lose the best thing that ever happened to you. and amy, enough of the retreats to make your team members work together and be successful. that will never happen because your homelife is what needs that. amy, you can’t succeed with other people if you can’t succeed with your husband. that’s relationship numero uno. and your kids need you to be mom. so many years together about to be thrown away over a hurry to make it in life, when you’ve both already passed the finish lines eons ago. you are blessed. stop. enjoy it. look at your home. look at what it has become. be grateful. your kids are healthy but they can’t thrive without you. you say you want to make a differente in the world. to change the world. start by being the old amy matt loved and got along with and the mom the kids could count on. i was in awe at how good a mother you were to your kids. change back. and you will change the world. most importantly you will change your kids world and your husbands. and matt, growing old alone with all your toys is going to get real lonely real fast and no woman in the world is ver going to come close to the marvel that is amy rolloff.
