Bethenny Frankel on Regis and Kelly: Talks Quitting Real Housewives of New York
Bethenny Frankel was on today’s Live with Regis & Kelly, and she offered up some Real Housewives of New York dish while also pimping her fitness DVD, “Body By Bethenny,” and book, “Skinny Dish.”
As you all know, Bethenny Frankel quit that old so-and-so Real Housewives of New York, and Regis had to know if she misses the other ladies. Bethenny said, “I don’t.”
Frankel goes on to say that RHONY was “a pyramid scam,” noting, “you’re lucky to get out at the top and I don’t want to go back in the bottom and get stuck in the middle.”
Asking the question that everyone wants answered, Regis questions Bethenny about just how real Real Housewives is.
Frankel says, “The housewives are reality, but it gets sensationalized. But not because of the producers, because of the people. Some people are just who they are. I was completely who I was on the housewives.”
Bethenny does seem to support the notion that some of the Housewives happenings may push the drama meter just a bit: “It’s that the women try to outdo each other, slapping, pulling hair…”
Frankel talks about new baby Brynn, and hubby Jason Hoppy, as well as season two of Bethenny Getting Married, as she teases about a second baby: “I’m 39, so I would have to get moving. So, I have to leave here and try to get pregnant today.”
Bethenny reveals that the reality show camera crew follows her four days a week, as much as eight hours a day.
Do you think it was a good idea for Bethenny Frankel to quit Real Housewives?
