Soundarya Rajinikanth’s wedding is the talk of India today, as are Soundarya Rajinikanth’s wedding photos! Seriously, this thing is like Chelsea Clinton-huge. The beautiful bride and her groom, entrepreneur and Stanford grad Ashwin Kumar, had a very lavish to-do in Chennai that people are calling the society event of the year because Soundarya Rajinikanth is the younger daughter of Rajinikanth, aka Rajini, the highest-paid actor in India.

Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Telegu star and Praja Rajyam President Cheeranjeevi, Kamal Haasan and actor Surya and wife Jyothika were all in attendance. And at a party last night Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan were on hand.
Rajinikanth had said he would love to invite all of his fans, but alas space constraints prevented him.
Here are pictures of the gorgeous couple. I’m guessing a new baby by fall even though Soundarya is pretty busy – she’s the CEO of Ochre Productions, and her dad voiced one of the characters in one of her upcoming movies. Awww! How sweet!
