American Idol Says Goodbye To Kara DioGuardi
Another one bites the dust! First it was Paula Abdul, then new judge Ellen Degeneres, then Simon Cowell, and now Kara DioGuardi has confirmed that she is also leaving American Idol.
Kara didn’t give too much reason for her exit except for that it feels like the right time to leave. She also added that she thinks American Idol was “an amazing experience.”
Viewers of American Idol had mixed feelings about DioGuardi as a judge on the show, but she is notably one of the greatest songwriters of all time, working with artists such as Celene Dion, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson.
American Idol’s creator, Simon Fuller, said that he will miss having her as a judge on Idol, but will continue to work with her in the music industry.
As for what’s next for Kara DioGuardi, only time will tell. Maybe she’s looking forward to taking a break and spending time with her new hubby, Mike McCuddy, whom she wed in 2009. Mike has a teenage daughter, but maybe they will start a family of their own now that she’s done with American Idol?
