Teresa Giudice: “We’ve Learned a Lot From Our Mistakes”
Teresa Giudice graces this week’s cover of In Touch with the jaw-dropping headline “ADDICTION, LIES & BETRAYAL. HOW I BLEW $11 MILLION,” and it’s one of those rare instances where I do not feel the tab is being hyperbolic. Teresa’s story is indeed shocking. Every time I hear the number $11 million, I still shake my head.
Teresa claims that Joe kept his finaces secret from her and she had no idea that they were in trouble until her lawyer contacted her. “Joe thought things were going to get better,” she explains.
Maybe that’s why she blew $60,000 on home furnishings the day after the declared bankruptcy? The woman certainly loves her decorative urns.
However, as the family is humiliated again and again in the press, Joe has taken control of the purse strings and is making Teresa cut back. He has been doing all of the grocery shopping and put a limit on Teresa’s credit card spending. The girls, normally decked out in brand new clothes, are now wearing each other’s hand-me-downs.
“Me and my husband have learned a lot from our mistakes,” Teresa tells the mag. “It’s brought us closer together.”
They are also building their way out of the hole. Teresa was most likely paid for this “exclusive” interview and has demanded a higher salary to be on the Real Housewives. Bravo has not yet given her an answer.
