Will Dancing with the Stars Help David Hasselhoff Beat the Bottle?
David Hasselhoff, 58, has a documented, long-time alcohol addiction that has deeply affected his daughters, most likely his career, and probably his self-worth. I mean, who can forget the image of him lying on the floor wasted devouring a hamburger with his daughter begging him to stop drinking as she films her father in an inebriated stupor? I wish I could. So I think a stint on Dancing with the Stars is just what he needs. You can’t booze and dance at the same time, right? Well, you can’t booze and dance at the same time and get past Judge Bruno’s wrath at least.
The hamburger incident was in 2007. Since then, there have been at least three occasions where The Hoff has needed medical intervention due to drinking, including being rushed to the hospital for alcohol poisoning and a three-day-bender just this past May. I’m sure his daughters, Taylor Ann, 20, and Hayley Amber, 18, are thrilled their father will be on the dance floor instead of face down on the floor. I’ll be routing for the judges not to Hassle the Hoff and for a great comeback. How about you?
