BBC 002891 199x300 Slash to Divorce Woman Who Tamed Him, 5 Things About Perla FerrarIt seemed like a marriage made in rock ‘n roll heaven, but all good things must come to an end.  Slash has filed for divorce from his wife of nine years Perla Ferrar.

In what looks like the makings for a bitter divorce battle (there’s no prenup), the former Guns N’ Roses guitarist is already setting things up for a custody battle over their two sons and ‘is willing’ to pay spousal support.

So who is Perla Ferrar?

Perla is the second wife of Slash (real name Saul Hudson) having married the rocker on October 15, 2001, in Hawaii.   They reportedly married with no prenuptial agreement.

She is the mother of his two sons – London, 8, and Cash, 4.   He’s seeking joint physical and legal custody of the boys.

They starting dating after meeting backstage at a Guns n’ Roses show 17 years ago.

In the past, Slash has credited Ferrar and his family for helping him settle down.  At the time he told people that his family inspired him to get  “rid of all the real hardcore stuff that I used to live on.”

The divorce for ‘irreconcilable differences’  may come as a surprise to her as indicated she was in for the long haul earlier this year saying: “I know that I’m in it for the long haul with him. So I’m not gonna flip out on something small. I pick my battles, as does he, and we have such a respect for each other, and admiration…and love, most of all
