Jon and Kate Kids School Routine: Over the Top?

Kate and Jon kids 300x300 Jon and Kate Kids School Routine: Over the Top?Jon and Kate Gosselin are splitting parenting duties.

Kate dropped the kids off at the school bus and Jon picked them up yesterday.

It’s the first year that all eight children are in school full-time.

The twins Mady and Cara, and sextuplets Aaden, Joel, Collin, Alexis, Hannah and Leah, ride the bus to school.  While Kate and her bodyguard Steve Neild saw them off, it was Jon who greeted the kids at the bus stop after school.

Earlier this week, more photos were released of the quite dramatic exchange. With Kate’s van parked in the garage, she loaded all eight kids into the vehicle, drove it to the bottom of the driveway and got out of the van.

At the exact same time, Jon was driven to the property’s gate in his Mercedes Benz SUV, his girlfriend Ellen Ross at the wheel. He got out of the Mercedes and jumped into the van. As Kate walked back up her driveway, she looked back longingly as Jon drove off with the children, with Ellen following in his Mercedes.

Then Jon and Ellen pulled into his apartment complex 30 minutes later, and got the kids out of the van covered in towels, Michael Jackson-style.

What a sad exchange really.  I feel bad for the kids.

What do you think of Jon and Kate’s arrangement? Do you think it’s over the top?
