Dancing with the Stars 11 Cast: Worst DWTS Contestants Ever?
With the Dancing with the Stars 11 cast about to be officially announced on Monday, we have to wonder: are these the worst DWTS contestants ever?
E! Online has the inside scoop on the final Dancing with the Stars lineup of contestants – and there are some real doozies. Bristol Palin, Margaret Cho, Jennifer Grey, Rick Fox, Michael Bolton, Audrina Patridge, The Situation, David Hasselhoff, Brandy, and Florence Henderson all seem like a lock to be announced on Monday.
From the looks of the Dancing with the Stars 11 cast, there’s not a whole heap of star power there. Reality stars Patridge, of The Hills, and The Situation, from Jersey Shore, hardly fit the bill for the “stars” part of DWTS. Nor does Bristol Palin, for that matter.
“Celebrity” is up for interpretation these days, it seems.
As for the older folks competing this season: David Hasselhoff is a cheeseball, Florence Henderson is everybody’s favorite TV mom, and Michael Bolton… well… let’s just leave it at that.
Singer Brandy also recently entered the reality show genre, with VH1’s Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business, but hasn’t released an album in a couple of years. Maybe the exposure on Dancing with the Stars will get Brandy back in the limelight again?
Rick Fox is the only athlete on this season’s DWTS roster, so we’ll see how the athletic angle serves him.
Jennifer Grey has that Dirty Dancing advantage, which we have to assume will carry her further than most.
All in all, there are no names on the list that scream Dancing with the Stars breakout star, a la Nicole Scherzinger last season.
That leaves Margaret Cho, who will no doubt provide the comedic element – we’ll be tuning in to see her because the rest of the cast sounds like a bust.
What do you think of the Dancing with the Stars season 11 cast?

John N Floida commented on Aug 30 10 at 9:06 pmAs much as I like Jennifer Grey, I have to doubt her amateur status. Her Dad is Joel Grey and she’s been performing since she was a little girl. She wasn’t picked for DD because she COULDN’T dance.
Piper commented on Sep 01 10 at 9:01 amThis season’s cast for dwts is horrible. Bristol Palin Really, cause I don’t ever remember her making it big as an actress, and OMG David H. Florence H. these people were stars in the 70′s and 80′s their careers ended long before I was born. and lets’s not forget Micheal B. ????? ABC are you for real. DWTS is the name of the show, so were are the stars?
Ayanna commented on Sep 01 10 at 9:12 amI’m speechless. This season of dwts has to be the worst season yet. I don’t even know half these people on the show and since when was Bristol Palin a Celeb. DWTS needs to up it s game. I m passing on watching this season’s DWTS. Were are the Celeb s like Sandra Bullock, or Hugh Jackman, Jim Carey?????? I m really disappointed in their selection of so called Celeb s
