By The Numbers: TLC’s Newest Show Sextuplets Take New York
TLC apparently never met a family of multiples it didn’t like (well, except Octomom). The network behind “19 Kids and Counting” and “Kate Plus 8″ is welcoming a new family to the air with “Sextuplets Take New York,” which debuts on Sept. 14Monday night.
Dubbed as the country’s first set of Latino sextuplets, the 22-month-olds in question belong to Victor and Digna Carpio, who also have a 9-year-old boy. They live in Queens, and they were featured on an earlier TLC show about the challenge of raising multiples.
Now that the Carpios have joined the network, here’s a look at these TLC shows by the numbers:
34 – number of kids between the Gosselins, the Duggars and now the Carpios (35, if you count the Duggars’ grandchild)
16 – number of girls (17 including the Duggars’ granddaughter)
18 – number of boys
4 – sets of multiples (Duggar twins, Gosselin twins, Gosselin sextuplets, Carpio sextuplets)
2 – number of soccer teams these three families could form – with substitutes
50 – number of diapers the Carpio sextuplets go through per day
10.6 million – number of people who watched Jon and Kate Gosselin announce their separation on “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ last year
11 – number of cats the Duggar family has had over the years
