We saw a sneak peak of Bret Michaels’ longtime love, Kristi Gibson, during the spring preview of his new VH1 show, Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It, last spring. Now it appears that this rocker mom who has mainly stayed on the sidelines of his rock ‘n roll stage may be taking a roll in the spotlight as Michaels indicates that he may be ready to finally walk down the aisle with Kristi.
“We’ve been talking a lot aboutgetting engaged, and we’ll see what happens,” said Michaels after his recent gig co-hosting the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant. “We just want to make sure we’re not doing it for anyone other than ourselves.”
She’s stuck by his side through his Rock of Love days and his recent health scare, so who is Bret Michaels’ potential fiance Kristi Gibson?
~ Kristi has dated Bret Michaels on-and-off for more than 16 years sticking by his side through numerous tours and his Rock of Love days.
~ She’s the mother of Bret’s daughters – Raine, 10, and Jorja, 5. The family lives together in a sprawling compound in Arizona.
~ Kristi was front and center through Bret’s recent helth difficulties including his recovery from and appendectomy, subsequent brain hemorrhage, and stroke last spring.
~ We were introduced to Kristi and their girls in the special VH1 preview of his new show, Bret Michael: Life as I Know It, in May. The show which features Michaels’ offstage life with Kristi and the girls returns to VH1 this fall.
~ Kristi, who is a Canadian model / actress, met Michaels while he was on tour in Canada in 1994.
