miss universe 2010 winner miss mexico Who Won Miss Universe 2010; Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete Winner 2010 Miss UniverseWho won Miss Universe 2010? After 83 contestants graced the stage in beautiful gowns and skimpy swimsuits, Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was crowned the winner of the 2010 Miss Universe contest.

Here is how the top five Miss Universe 2010 contestants placed:

4th runner up: Miss Philippines

3rd runner up: Miss Urkraine

2nd runner up: Miss Australia

1st runner up: Miss Jamaica

Miss Universe Winner: Miss Mexico, Jimena Navarrete

Miss Universe winner Miss Mexico was absolutely stunning during the pageant and seemed almost stunned that she won the competition, but I believed she’d be a front-runner. No… really!

Side note: Let’s talk about Bret Michaels as co-host of Miss Universe 2010. I’m thinking hosting may not be his thing – maybe stick to the singing thing instead? And am I the only one bothered by the head bandana? Please, Bret… let us know what the hair situation is like under that thing!

I don’t know if it’s worth mentioning, but you know the drill – If the Miss Universe 2010 winner can’t fulfill her duties, the first runner up will take overl

Miss Ireland seemed favored to win Miss Universe 2010, but she did not make it to the final five. Did you predict the Miss Universe winner correctly?

Was I wrong? Did Bret not know what year it was when he asked for everyone to watch again in 2010?

Justin Beiber commented on Aug 23 10 at 11:52 pm

I thought that’s what he said too… maybe that bandana is a little too tight?

WendyM commented on Aug 23 10 at 11:58 pm

There should have been one question to be answered by all top five contestants. There is no fairness for there are global issues and personal questions. The questions raised really depends on the intelligence of the judge. Sadly, dumb and common question is a despise.

Well deserved I know I’m biased because I’m Mexican. I would’ve been OK with Ukraine or Australia. Congrats paisana! This is our consolation for getting our a**es kicked at the world cup, he he

FrancoV commented on Aug 24 10 at 2:38 am

Too many beautiful women to chose from but Miss Mexico has a perfectly symmetrical face that makes her stunningly beautiful plus the fact that she’s from Guadalajara, Mexico which is known for the tapatio beauty as one of the world most beautiful women and it was proven tonight!! Congratulations to Jimena her answer was well answer as well. I thought she was i bit petite but sometimes those are the best packages.

Freaking dessapointed again with MISS UNIVERSE. I’m proud to be latina but it’s time to give the crown to another continent. Otherwise it should be change for…Miss America! Mexico wasn’t my favorite at all…how can she won without handling a normal question….pretty face…stupid brain!

May commented on Aug 24 10 at 10:16 am

Mexico was very from beginning was one of the top favorites. Guatemala deserved to be on the top 5. Latin women always take home the crown.

adelina commented on Aug 24 10 at 10:52 am

seriously though idk who was watching but Yendi Phillips from Jamaica was leading up until the Q and A I’m happy or Ms Mexico but in my opinion Miss Jamaica was supposed to win

Bob commented on Aug 24 10 at 12:45 pm

Politics Politics is how you can some up the Miss universe contest. How can Mexico win when she didn’t even answer her question? It should of went to ethier Jamaica or Australia or vice versa.

Questions were NOT fair. Why were all the questions based on OPINION except for Philippines – which was based on a personal experience? No matter which contestant picked the question Philippines picked, ANY would’ve had a hard time answerin it!!! How can you talk about a big mistake in your life without ruining your reputation? And – on the spot – with intense pressure, infront of millions of people? Get real people! What was she supposed to answer? “Well, I did drugs in high school,” or “Well, I’m not a virgin anymore,” or “I used to be racist….” I don’t see how any of those answers would’ve given her a good impression. But even still, if the final winner hinges on the answer to the question, then Jamaica should’ve won. She gave the best answer. Mexico is very pretty but even she didn’t answer her question properly – not to mention she had to use an interpreter. I’ve heard people mention how it’s rigged and/or politics-driven. Mexico was chosen a winner, perhaps as a “sorry” about the chaos in Arizona. This really isn’t fair!!!

Middle East may have oil. Other countries and continents may have their attributes but South of the Border owns the Miss Universe Pageant. 2008 and 2009 belonged to Venezuela and Mexico takes 2010. The women are just too hot in Mexico and South America. Actually Ireland and Guatemala are the 2 hot contestants I thought would clean up but can’t go against Mexico though. The U.S. didn’t win, place, or show. Maybe it had something to do with Miss USA’s not so clean cut image which put her out of the running. The U.S. backed the wrong hot ethnic chick this time. Next year U.S. should pick a gorgeous Latina American.

Who Cares???

meandmine commented on Aug 25 10 at 2:36 pm

…OKAY, OKAY ALREADY!!! Is anyone else fed up with the, “she doesn’t even speak English,” comment. As if the whole world was obliged to learn and speak English. Has it occurred to any of you that almost half the world speaks Spanish?! Come on people… stop being so egocentric. Jimena won because she obviously wowed the judges beforehand. She’s an extremely beautiful woman, who showed grace and confidence throughout the pageant… And she DID answer the question that was asked. Stop hating!!! Most other participants (especially those from Venezuela) that have gone on to become Miss Universe have also chosen to speak in their native language, so why the commotion now… Oh, wait… I get it!! The problem is that she’s Mexican, not Venezuelan. I swear, Mexcico’s biggest down fall is to be directly below the U.S. People have developed this anti-Mexican mentality in the U.S. and it has transcended into other realms. Grow up people… and learn how to spell!!!

JOE commented on Aug 25 10 at 4:19 pm

i would like to extend my congratulations to Ms. Mexico. However, I am very mush proud with the performance showed by Ms. Philippines. She could have been crowned as Ms. Universe but she somewhat failed in the Q and A portion. Anyways, Venus Raj still deserves much recognition..

kenneth commented on Aug 27 10 at 1:51 am

Jimena was Stunning, absolutely gorgeous… I knew from the show she would be on the top 5, but then when I saw the show, She had no real competition except for Maria which blew up her chance when she opened her mouth. NO, No.

Jimena Eliminated each and every one of those girls, One by One.

Congrats’

LuMar commented on Aug 28 10 at 6:56 am

Lets be real here…Jamaica was smarter and had a beter body, Ireland was gorgeous, Puerto Rico the dress is what fcked her up. But we all know USA didnt come to the top 15 because of the issue there was with her being muslim and Mexico won because of the Immigration Law issue in the US. Venezuela wins because of Chavez. Reason why PR has 5 crowns? because they are truly gorgeous and smart,Russian one because she was gorgeous,Japan beautiful. Thats the truth and that is that.
