Tiger and Elin Officially Done
It’s over! Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are officially divorced, according to court officials.
In a statement released by Nordegren’s lawyers, the former couple stated that “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future, While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
While no details on the settlement have been released, once can only assume that Elin was able to renegotiate the terms of her prenup after the details involving Tiger’s ‘indiscretions’ were discovered.
Custody was said to be a key issue for both Woods and Nordegren, who have 2 children, 3 year old Sam and 1 year old Charlie. In the same statement the addressed the situation surrounding their children: “Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”
I’m happy to see that they have been able to settle this quickly and largely out of the public eye. Tiger deserves little public sympathy, but Elin and his children are victims of his childish and selfish behavior in this situation and deserve some privacy.

Was she thinking of her children as she wielded that golf club and did the idiotic interview? Imagine how they would have acted if their children’s happiness was not paramount?
