The Gosselin Kids Get Handed Off
Is it me, or do the Gosselin’s think that they’re more important than they really are? In an effort to keep the paparazzi from taking any pics of the kids or any kind of exchange between the parents, Jon and Kate have created a seemingly over-dramatic system of handing the kids off.
This past weekend, photogs captured Kate, with the kids loaded into their full-sized van; drive the van to the bottom of their long driveway where Jon was waiting in his SUV. As soon as the van arrived, Kate quickly leaves and Jon hopped in the van. There was no exchange between the 2 and Kate walked back up her driveway. It seems that they might have avoided any contact so as not to give the photographers and pictures of the two speaking.
Jon and his girlfriend Ellen Ross then arrived back at Jon’s apartment complex. Later that day Jon retweeted a message from Ellen stating ‘Agreed. And we are doing the best we can currently :)’ in response to one fan’s message that she hopes Jon will stop letting TLC ‘buy his kids childhood’. Funny – Jon had no problem with TLC when he was on the receiving end of the royalty cheques.
If Jon and Kate were really interested in their children’s well being, maybe Kate should allow Jon to drive up to the front door of their home where the paparazzi can’t access, to hand off the kids. At least then they could pretend to at least have a civil conversation with each other, for the sake of their 8 children, instead of doing the hand off in uncomfortable silence.
