Burning Questions After Dr. Laura Quits (Like Is This Mom A Real Doctor?) Plus, VIDEO
The big headline coming out of last night’s “Larry King Live” was “Dr. Laura Quits.” After her latest controversy last week, in which she repeatedly used a hateful racial slur while talking to a caller on her radio program, Dr. Laura Schlessinger told Larry King last night she has decided to give up her program after more than 15 years in syndication.
But she’s using some screwy logic, it seems. The mother of one told King she wants to “regain my First Amendment rights” after this latest incident. Though she said she regrets using the n word 11 times in five minutes, she feels the incident was used to usurp her freedom of speech rights “by angry, hateful groups who don’t want to debate — they want to eliminate.” Not sure what exactly she wanted to debate – why using that word is ever right?
Which brings us to the question does Dr. Laura really understand what she did wrong? What does she plan to do next? And while we’re asking, is she a real doctor? Here, answers to all those burning questions, plus video of her with Larry King.
Does Dr. Laura really understand what she did wrong? The answer seems to be no. She thinks that people who already disliked her are taking advantage of the n word controversy to dis her. She claims she was simply “saying what’s on my mind and in my heart.” If that word is anywhere in your heart or mind, you have a problem – regardless of race.
Was Dr. Laura really trying to help that caller by using the word over and over again? She thinks so. She says she was trying to make a point about the caller’s hypersensitivity to race. But it seems the point was more about Dr. Laura’s insensitivity.
Does Dr. Laura have any future plans? She says she’s not retiring. Instead, she’ll be blogging, writing books and serving up videos on her YouTube channel.
Is Dr. Laura really a doctor? Oh boy, this is the No. 1 topic whenever her name comes up. Yes, she is a doctor; no, she is not a medical doctor or a psychologist. Dr. Laura’s doctorate is in physiology. If you are interested, she wrote her thesis on “Effects of Insulin on 3-0-Methylglucose Transport in Isolated Rat Adipocytes.” So clearly she knows something; whether it’s about helping people, well, that’s debatable.
Below, the video of her calling it quits.

She is a hateful hypocrite who slams anyone who does not agree with her point of view
It’s a great day to be rid of her.
Mama Bear commented on Aug 18 10 at 8:03 amHer 15 minutes are up. When she talks… it’s her “right” but when someone is offended by her words, she is the “victim… Plus… Check out Web Therapy… I anticipate her interest in the “internets” to be something like this: http://www.lstudio.com/web-therapy/kiss-and-tell-1-of-3.html
