Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block Concert Tour 2011 Together!
The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block/NKOTB are planning to tour together in 2011? This combination of forces can only be explained by boy banders who grow up, have kids (some of them, anyway) and try to make money doing concert tours again.
We kid though, because really, it makes a whole lot of sense to get them teamed up together to appeal to two separate generations. It’s marketing genius, really.
A source commented on The Backstreet Boys/NKOTB combo tour, saying,”The idea is to recreate the boy band phenomenon. It will be the ultimate ladies’ night out.”
If the two groups sign the deal with Live Nation Entertainment (and they are close, say reports), look for The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block to begin touring together as early as March 2011.
Okay, no one’s looking and/or judging – were you a NKOTB or Backstreet Boys fan? Would you see the two of them on tour together?
This should, in theory, be a hit idea, given how well-received the Backstreet Boys/New Kids singing “I Want It That Way” at Radio City Music Hall was in June.

Dana commented on Aug 21 10 at 8:36 pmI was a huge NKOTB fan in elementary school, then BSB came out when I was in High School and I totally loved them. Saw them in concert about 6 times. BUT… Times have changed and I think there is something wierd about 40 year old men who are married with children who are still living out their teenage dreams. I am still on the fence about going to see this concert.

Backstreet Boys 6 times in concert, along with N’SYNC 12 times. I Have always tried to find another NKOTB over the years. I’ve been a faithful concert fanatic since I saw WHAM in Sept (85) at the Oakland A’s stadium. Can’t even begin to say how many artists I’ve seen or met along the way. I can say N’SYNC nailed it everytime. BSB nailed it with their Millennium concert tour. No other band since WHAM (you had to be there)Has ever come close to the energy/excitement other than thoose mentioned, of NKOTB. You need to go on the Cruise’s every year to understand the wonderful maddness & love of the fans with the guys.

I totally thought it was going to be pathetic, but it totally wasn’t. So, don’t knock it til you’ve seen it. NKOTB still has the ability to make you feel like the only girl in an arena full of screaming fans.
