SDW 002362 221x300 Gisele Bundchen Responds to Breastfeeding CommentsBrazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has been under the limelight lately due to her “outrageous” comments on breastfeeding.

In Harper’s Bazaar UK, she stated, “there should be a ‘worldwide law’ requiring mothers to breastfeed their babies for six months. Some people think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?’”

Of course, other celeb moms responded, as reported earlier, and Gisele has taken to her blog to clear the air.  She states, “My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law. Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child.”

What are your personal thoughts on breastfeeding – is it good or bad for your child?
