Jennifer Lopez Still in the Running at American Idol
Who can keep up with the ever changing rumors coming from the American Idol set?
Ellen left, Jennifer Lopez was hired, Kara may be out, Steven Tyler might be in…. it’s another day, it must be time for Idol rumor patrol!
American Idol producer and So You Think You Can Dance head judge Nigel Lythgoe broke the silence last night and denied rumors that Jennifer Lopez had be removed from consideration due to some diva demands.
“Hello? These people don’t know Jennifer Lopez,” Lythgoe told Extra at the SYTYCD finale. “She’s a wonderful woman. I’ve never seen her be a diva in her life!”
Lythgoe did attempt to remove one name from the running to fill Simon’s empty chair – former judge Paula Abdul. He says, I would LOVE Paula to come back. But Paula is under contract to another company so I don’t think that she enters the frame on this occasion.”
Guess we’ll all be waiting for Idol to finalize its judging panel right up to when the contestants start hitting the Hollywood auditions.
