ALO 080340 191x300 Gleeks Rejoice Britney Spears Is Headed to GleeWhen Glee creator Ryan Murphy spilled the secrets of the second season of Glee last week, he kept at least a few cards up his sleeve!

Not only will there be a special episode dedicated to the music and pop-culture influence of Britney Spears, but the songstress is set to appear on the episode as an inspiration to the kids at William McKinley High School.

“Britney, I think 100 percent, is going to be on the episode,”  Murphy revealed during an  appearance on On-Air with Ryan Seacrest.  Most of the episode will focus on Britney’s influence on the Gleeks with her appearing in a couple of scenes.

The Spears episode will coincide with a special appearance from John Stamos.  Stamos will play a dentist who treats members of the glee club.  As the kids undergo anesthesia, a few of our favorite characters will hallucinate about the Circus singer.

“They have fantasies of how they can be like her,” Murphy explains.

Don’t expect to see Kurt donning a shower cap and mocking Spears’ infamous head-shaving incident.   It’s all about the music.

“The Britney episode, I’m here to say, is so reverential about her,” Murphy adds. “It’s about her music and it’s not about her personal life.”
