Rosie O’Donnell Talk Show Coming to Oprah Network
Rosie O’Donnell just can’t stay away from the talk show format, it seems. It was announced today that Rosie O’Donnell will be hosting a talk show on the Oprah network.
Look for Rosie O’Donnell’s New York-based talk show to premiere in 2011 on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.
Oprah is pleased as punch to have O’Donnell on board for the talk show gig, saying, “Rosie is an undeniable talent who has captivated TV audiences for nearly 20 years. She’s a true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does.”
Rosie O’Donnell is ready to get back into the talk show arena too, commenting, “It’s an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network. I’m excited to be back on daytime television.”
Rosie O’Donnell, who has four children, is no stranger to the daytime talk show world. O’Donnell hosted The Rosie O’Donnell Show form 1996 to 2002, winning six Daytime Emmy Awards for best talk show. In 2006, she replaced Meredith Vieira on The View, but only held the post for a year.
