Bachelorette Winner Roberto Martinez: 5 Things to Know (Plus an Adorable Deleted Scene)
By now you know that Ali Fedotowsky chose Roberto Martinez in the final rose ceremony and she said yes to his proposal. Though it’s been a few months since filming wrapped and the couple has had to sneak in time together, they seem to be going strong. “I have found a love that is stronger than I ever thought was possible. Since the show finished filming, I have fallen even more in love with Roberto,” Ali said on her blog on People.
So just who is the man she will be spending the rest of her life with? Here are some things to know:
1) Ali and Roberto were just a town away in 2002. Ali had just graduated from Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown, Ma. and Roberto was just a few miles away pitching for the baseball team North Adams Steeple-Cats.
2) They may have known each other…“They definitely would have moved in the same social circles,” a teammate told Us Weekly. “He always talked about girl who looked like Ali [who cheered for him at his games.] It’s hard to mistake her face.”
3) Baseball isn’t the only sport he’s good at. He played basketball in college at the University of Tampa. But he’s not all brawn and no brains. He graduated school with a major in International Business. Now, he works as insurance agent.
4) They are moving in together! Roberto is moving to San Diego, Calif., to live with Ali and start his own business. “We got a place, an apartment we rented in San Diego,” Ali told Chris Harrison on After The Final Rose. “Roberto’s already living there and we have to get my stuff down there. Roberto’s already set up his business there.”
5) He’s a food sharer, which is important to Ali. Take a look at this cute deleted clip!
