Ali and Roberto Break Up Rumors: The Bachelorette’s History of Breakups
Did Ali and Roberto break up, even though The Bachelorette finale showed a fairytale ending and the couple appeared happily on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night?
I watched The Bachelorette season finale, read her People.com blog post and saw them gushing over each other on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and while I can’t confirm that Ali and Roberto broke up, I can say, for now, all signs point to at least a happy short-term future together.
Ali and Roberto are still together now, but will they break up or go the distance? Let’s take a look at The Bachelorette’s history of break ups and see if the odds of a happy reality show reunion are likely:
Season 1: Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter are the only couple that got married as a result of appearing on The Bachelorette. They have two children together.
Season 2: Meredith Phillips chose Ian Mckee on The Bachelorette season 2 in 2004, but the relationship was over in February 2005.
Season 3: Jennifer Scheftt chose Jerry Ferris as her true love, but apparently he wasn’t the marrying type, as she rejected his marriage proposal.
Season 4: DeAnna Pappas decided Jess Csincsak was her perfect guy and the pair even set a wedding date for May 9, 2009. They broke up in November 2008, so no love connection there.
Season 5: Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski got engaged on Bachelorette’s fifth season in 2009, but broke up in 2010.
And now we’re on to Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez – the couple, so far, seems madly in love, and Ali and Roberto are still together… but could a breakup be in their future?
I’m still not sold on the idea of finding your true love in a reality show setting, but Trista and Ryan did it, so certainly there’s a chance that a TV pairing could pay off for Ali and Roberto.
Do you think Ali and Roberto will break up… or do you think they’ll be the second couple in Bachelorette history to walk down the aisle and have kids together?

lynne commented on Aug 03 10 at 11:10 pmJason and Molly were part of the Bachelor not the Bachelorette. I dont think they will make it I think it was Frank she really wanted
Dani commented on Aug 03 10 at 11:33 pmJason was the Bachelor not the Bachorlette!! thats probably why Jake and Vienna arent on the either. they are only talking about bachleorettes
Sandra Sousa commented on Aug 04 10 at 7:31 amI think that Jason and Molly are part of a good sucusess from the show, why they just talk about Trista and Ryam,if wans’t for the show Jason an Molly would not be togheter,I think that defanately you can find love in the show and I think Ali and Roberto will be togheter for ever!

Vickie commented on Aug 04 10 at 12:33 pmI think it’s a terrible match…too many cultural differences. Won’t last…I’ve had the experience.
Michele commented on Aug 04 10 at 3:20 pmI hope they get married. They are a really cute couple!
Adriana Gomez commented on Aug 05 10 at 4:37 pmI am 100% sure that they will stay together. I live really close to them and saw them in a store once. They looked seriously happy.
Kate commented on Aug 05 10 at 5:36 pmI would like to see the wedding on TV in 2011! Molly & Jason are from the Bachlor not bachlorette, that is why they were not mentioned, but when you add them both together, yes they got married this year.
Beth commented on Aug 05 10 at 5:38 pmDon’t compare them to Jake & Vienna, I did not think that one would have lasted and I was right. This one will!
b commented on Aug 06 10 at 8:58 amthey will last
anonymousgirlie commented on Aug 07 10 at 2:16 amYeah, I don’t think they will last. Number one, on the After the Final Rose Ceremony when the host asked Ali what she liked about him, she went on and on about her strong feelings towards him. When Chris asked Roberto, he seemed a bit hesitant, and stumbled over his words. He said a lot of general things like “she’s pretty, sweet and bla bla bla” but really didn’t get into any specifics. She seems more into him, then he is into her. And when the host asked Ali what she liked about him when she first met him, he chimed in and said “must’ve been my salsa dancing” and then did a little jig. Seems so arrogant. I was turned off when Roberto’s dad took Ali into Roberto’s trophy room. Oh please. So what he won a couple of baseball games, suddenly that makes him the best guy on the planet? Oh please. Ali could have done so much better. Hope she’s happy when she finds him at some salsa club feeling up some latino chica with big hips and shaking what her mama gave her. It’s not going to work, he’s way too into himself. She should’ve stuck with Chris, but too late now. Oh well, Chris will get scooped up by someone else that really deserves him. Have fun with Ricky Ricardo Ali, hope you enjoy it while he beats another drum and not yours.
Kelly commented on Aug 11 10 at 7:45 pmI think Ali really wanted Frank too. I think she just has the hots for Roberto and he is not the marrying kind. Chris was the marrying kind and she had an amazing connection with him that was more than just the hots. I think Ali and Chris would have had a chance at happily ever after. Roberto was the wrong choice. He even said on the show he didn’t know if he should propose to Ali. Chris would have loved her to no end. Ali totally made the wrong choice and I feel bad for her. I agree, Chris will find true love and swept up soon enough. Chris is the keeper. Roberto is a hottie that knows how to dance. Sexy is great but, you need the whole package and Roberto is not ready for marriage like Ali is. Ali deserves so much better.
Zsa-zsa commented on Aug 12 10 at 1:29 amI don’t think that neither of us here can call theire future or the love they may have for one another only Ali & Roberto know what they feel for each other. Only fate and true love will determine thiere future. If it’s meant to be it will be. Good luck to the both of you wishing you a happy life
jackie commented on Aug 14 10 at 11:19 pmhonestly people should stay out and let them find there way if it is meant to be it will be but with comment like those from people that can’t seem to let go and move on that is how things go sour but if you stay strong and ignore all those negative comment and people that that can’t get a life you guy just have to be strong and be happy and enjoy each and avery day you get to know each other more and more and as your love grows the most important thing is love and understanding
hipgramma commented on Aug 15 10 at 1:11 pmi think they make a great couple ,Hope they prove everybody wrong.
Boo2Ali commented on Aug 17 10 at 7:02 amI think the Bachelor and Bachelorette is are crazy to think that you can find love in 2 months. The only smart one was that guy who didnt choose anyone. He was the only honest one.
josey commented on Aug 17 10 at 11:06 pmIt looks like the real deal to me. They are an inspiration to us all. Roberto seems to be a very normal and caring guy.
