Bachelorette: It’s Chris’s Turn To Meet Ali’s Parents
The show is progressing nicely so far, and Chris just met Ali’s parents! Let’s recap how he measured up…because he had some stiff competition from Roberto!
Right away, Ali announced to the group that Chris is from Massachusetts, which resulted in cheers and laughter all around! I’m sure that her parents love the idea of her possibly moving closer to home. One point for Chris!
Chris then went on to talk a bit about his mom, and her being the reason he moved home, and then he told them how much his family approved of Ali. And when he told them that his Dad was born in Montreal, Ali’s Dad piped up that he’s from there too. What a coincidence!
In a somber tone, Chris went on to describe his late mother and what an amazing mom and wonderful lady she was. And when he talked about his mom working nights as a nurse, he added that his dad would make he and his brothers french toast for dinner while she worked. What a cool dad!
Ali’s sister then had some alone time with Chris and asked about his relationship with Ali. He explained that their relationship progressed in a slow and natural way. Chris went on to admit that he is falling in love with Ali. And he’s certainly ready to settle down with her and have a family.
Sigh.
Who wouldn’t want to have babies with Chris? He’s the total package. Can’t you just see him on the beach with a couple of kids and a golden retriever all chasing after each other in the sand? And he’d probably bring home freshly caught lobsters from the fish pier and steam them himself.
Somebody please stop me before I faint.
In Ali’s alone time with her mom, she also talked about the slow progression of the relationship, but mom assured her that those are the best! She thought that he was secure, supportive, and comes from a good family. And she thought it shows tremendous love that he moved home to help his family when they needed him.
As if we didn’t already know that Chris is a complete and total gentlemen, he then stressed how important it was for him to talk to Ali’s father, and to ask for her hand in marriage.
Ali’s father seemed very interested in talking to Chris and pulled him outside after dinner. When asked if he is in love with Ali, Chris replied that family is the most important thing to him, and if Ali chooses him, she will be the most important thing in his life. He talked about how good his Dad was to his Mother, and said how much he wants that in his marriage. Chris went on to say how much he loves Ali’s passion for life and the “glow in her eyes.”
Chris then took the plunge and told Ali’s Dad that he would love to ask for her hand in marriage and would like his blessing. And Dad was totally into it. Chris really sold him on the whole importance of family thing, and he gave him the green light to propose. Another point for Chris.
How many other women in America are swooning right now? I sure am. If Ali doesn’t choose Chris, there will be a huge traffic jam on all roads leading to Cape Cod tonight.

Lindsey commented on Aug 07 10 at 5:48 pmI absolutely love Chris! Loved him the whole time… And, don’t get me wrong, I like Ali a lot too, BUT Chris is “too good” for Ali… Ali made the right choice. Ali and Roberto make a wonderful couple and Chris’ perfect woman is still out there. He’ll meet her soon, rainbows are promises… and especially to him. Chris, if you ever read this, good luck and God bless!
PS. I REALLY hope he does NOT do the next Bachelor. He can do better by just waiting and finding love naturally…
