alg speidi 300x243 Spencer Pratt Calls Marriage A Show. What If They Had Kids?It didn’t exactly come as a major surprise to find out that The Hills star Heidi Montag filed for divorce from husband Spencer Pratt last week. From the minute the two tied the knot, fans speculated about the authenticity of their marriage–and now, Pratt is speaking out about it.

“I love Heidi but our marriage was a show,” the MTV villian said. “It was part of The Hills world.” Pratt went on to say he clearly didn’t fit with the image of Montag’s preferred husband–who apparently is not someone who lusts after reality-TV fame.

“Some say if you can’t handle the heat get out of the kitchen,” he said. “Well, Heidi couldn’t handle King Spencer’s fame so she got out of the marriage.” While this is sad and disturbing on so many levels, we can’t help but wonder–would the couple have gone as far as to have kids for publicity? We all saw Montag practically beg Pratt to have children with her on several episodes of their popular TV show. And perhaps Montag really did (or does) want kids, but would it be possible that Pratt would have eventually gone through with it, just to increase his fame? We can only imagine what those kids would have had to go through if it happened.
