“Jersey Shore”: Meet Their Families!
MTV’s hit show Jersey Shore premiered its second season last night, with the cast taking on Miami as they “fist-pumped across America.” And we can tell it’s going to be a rowdy season — the cast already proclaimed this season will be much better than last year’s. But every time we see the cast, who range from ages 22-30, downing shots and making out, we have to wonder, “What do their parents think?!”
Thankfully, this week’s People magazine answers that question.
The issue spotlights the cast at home with their families, from Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi at home with her dad (who she’s teaching to make margaritas) to Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino showcasing his famous abs (what else?) in a photo shoot with his mom and siblings. It’s obvious that the cast comes from supportive families who love them, but what do they think when their kids are getting into fights or bringing people home?
Snooki’s dad admits it’s “trying” to watch his daughter get racy for all the world to see, but he insists that being on Jersey Shore has led her to accomplish her “lifelong” dream of being on television. And the Guadagninos, family of resident “nice guy” Vinny, claim they have nothing to be ashamed of. “He’s a sweet kid,” says his Uncle Nino, with Vinny adding that he never “fit in” with all the tan, muscled guys you usually see hanging out on the beach.
We’ll admit, it’s interesting seeing the crew away from their hard-partying reality show lifestyle, but obviously their families play a huge part. Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley, whose father lives in upstate New York, says that when she has kids, “I want them to have the same upbringing I did.”
Maybe so, but do you think they would they ever let their own kids on TV?
