Eddie Munster & Donna McCall to Wed. Are Babies Next?
To all of you who write letters to your favorite TV star: Take hope! You just may end up marrying them.
In what is a cute, and mildly unbelievable, love story, former Phildelphia Eagles cheerleader Donna McCall had a crush on her favorite TV show character growing up, Eddie Munster, who was played by Butch Patrick. She wrote him fan letters and the pair carried on a correspondence during the show’s first season all the way back in 1964.
The letters stopped when the show ended, but Donna reached out to Butch years later via email and the two began talking again. “He e-mailed me back with his cell phone number,” she tells Fox. “I was really, really nervous when I called him. I felt like I was 10 years old again. He put me quite at ease. He handed the phone to his mom and I got to talk to her for a little bit.”
After lots of back and forth, they agreed to meet at this year’s DraculaCon II. From there, sparks flew and they began a romance that has led to a proposal and engagement!
They have moved in together in West Chester, PA. Could little Munsters be on the way? They are both in their ’50′s but some say it’s never too late to start a family!
