It looks like one musical star in the family isn’t enough. Gwyneth Paltrow just recorded a country and western single. Yes, this rock and roll wife has went and gone country. But for a good reason. Why?

For her new film Country Strong. In the film the mom of two plays a fallen country singer who hooks up with a young rising songwriter and both of their careers “ascend.” Gwyneth’s husband in the film is played by real life country star Tim McGraw but she looked to her real life husband for guidance. He reportedly have her guitar lessons to ready her for the role. “He was so helpful, so sweet and encouraging. I mean, it’s embarrassing to be playing in front of your husband, especially when he’s in one of the world’s most successful bands,” she said. And apparently her performance of the title song is good enough to be released as a stand along single.
