Mad Men Star Rich Sommer and Wife Expecting a Boy
Rich Sommer, who stars on the uber-successful 60s-based television show Mad Men, isn’t only enjoying some great professional success, but is having a pretty good time personally too. Sommer and his wife Virginia recently announced they are expecting their second child, and that it will be a boy.
“We have a little girl who’s about two and a half, and she’s gonna [get] a baby brother,” the actor told Access Hollywood. “We’re very excited.” The baby boy will be younger brother to toddler Beatrice.
Sommer said their newborn is expected sometime this summer, and they’re already getting ready–which includes taking some time off work, if possible. Sommer said he did request some time off of work, but isn’t totally sure he’ll be able to get it, noting the “nature of the job.”
“I’m hopeful that I can be there for the blessed event and we’ll see how long I get to spend there before I race back and put a tie and shirt on,” he said.
We wish the happy couple the best of luck–and that Sommer can enjoy the birth of his son while we enjoy his hit TV show.
