The two-time Olympic gold medalist (she won for beach volleyball with her partner, Misty May-Treanor) is raising two sons with her husband, fellow volleyball player Casey Jennings.

In her blog on People.com, Walsh will be talking about life with Joseph Michael, 14 months, and new baby Sundance Thomas, 10 weeks–which will surely be hectic as she is also training for the London 2012 Olympics.

For her first blog, Walsh touched upon some major events in her life in the past couple years to let readers get to know her, before she gets into the down and dirty of parenting (which, she said, is “a relatively new role for me, but it’s a role I cherish with all my heart.”).

The athlete mentioned she found out she was pregnant with her first son just a few days after winning her second Olympic gold medal in Beijing, though she didn’t officially announce it until later, and then became pregnant with her second son a month after her first tournament back after Joseph Michael was born.

On June 24 of this year, Walsh said that she, Jennings, and the boys went on their first family trip to New Jersey to support Jennings’ volleyball. So, how did it go? “Pure craziness! So exhausting! But our dream has become reality!!”

Looks like she’ll have lots to say in her coming blogs.
