Elisabeth Hasselbeck vs. Kathy Griffin: Who’s the Winner?
In case you missed the latest Elisabeth Hasselbeck beef with Kathy Griffin, take a look at The View video clip above, where Hasselbeck refers to Griffin as “scum” for calling Senator Scott Brown’s daughters prostitutes during a My Life on the D-List segment.

In this corner… Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Elisabeth makes a good point that kids should be off limits for comedians to poke fun at. It was insulting and offensive and Senator Brown was not pleased with Griffin’s joke at the expense of his daughters. Hasselbeck’s opinion that Kathy is scum may be a bit harsh, given that we know Griffin is making a joke, but you know… it’s The View and opinions are what this show is all about.
And… in this corner… Kathy Griffin
Kathy Griffin is a comedian, whose brand of humor – for better or for worse – happens to include insulting famous people. She’s built her brand on it. Does that make what she said okay? Should she apologize to Scott Brown? Even if she should… would she? Likely not. That’s not Kathy Griffin’s style, typically. It should be noted, however, that after she said the bit about Scott Brown’s daughters, a disclaimer of sorts scrolled on My Life On The D-List from “the Bravo legal team,” that said “Scott Brown’s daughters ARE NOT prostitutes. We now return to our regularly scheduled negativity.”
So, who do you think comes out the winner here – Elisabeth or Kathy?
Elisabeth says her peace on The View and gets her dig in on Kathy Griffin, but c’mon… Griffin LOVES the exposure. Any attention is good attention for Kathy, who is the self-described queen of the D-List. With every second of air time that Elisabeth discusses Kathy, it’s just more exposure for the reality queen/comedian. She confirms this with the following post on Twitter: “haha, Scott Brown is the Spencer Pratt of the US Senate. THIS is a great time 2 come c me live. OF COURSE I’m lovin all the publicity LOVIN IT.”

Eliabeth is crass, rude and natsy to even to her co workers. Remind you of anyone? (Roseane)When I watch the view, I listen o Sherri, Joy, even a guest host if they happen to be ther. But my most gracious hostess that’s not afraid to tell you like it and as far as I’ve seen the only person she ever got upset with was – yep, you guessed it, MS Hasselbeck. I wish she find another job, something else to to. Just my opinion….

So isn’t Elisabeth just making the public embarrassment worse for the senator’s daughters so that she can make herself feel better by venting? Better to just let it go under the radar.

He convinced Ms. Walters to hire her, but had his own agenda. Behind the scenes, it’s common knowledge that Mr. Geddie is “in love” with EH. Prior to each show, he coaches her (and no one else). He spends at least 30 mins. “educating” EH on how to inject right-wing opinions–essentially using her as a pretty mouthpiece to spew hatred for all things and all people liberal. Unfortunately, the plan often backfires, as she’s simply not bright enough to be effective.
