Bristol Palin & Levi Johnston – Back Together for Love or Money?
One things about those Palins….they like to make a buck. But really, who doesn’t. But they do have a knack for makin’ a bank any way they can. Sarah Palin is still a hot commodity and can rake in the big bucks for her speaking engagements. But the stocks of daughter Bristol and her on-again off-again boyfriend Levi Johnston have plummeted as of late. Bristol had her teenage pregnancy speaking engagements and Levi’s Playgirl spreads and pistachio commercials are a thing of the past. Those crazy kids may have realized that they needed to find a new revenue stream. And they have done just that, through a getting back together.
I hate to be such a cynic but I can totally envision the phone call, something like this:
Bristol: Hey Ricky Hollywood! Sup?
Levi: Nada. Bummed. I can’t get cabana service at the Roosevelt any more. And I haven’t been the butt of a late night comedian’s joke in ages. And I hate to break it to you but I have no idea how I’m gonna pay you all that child support.
Bristol: I know! We need money and we need it fast. Hey, maybe we should join forces and make some big bucks!
Levi: How?
Bristol: Okay, so we pretend that we got back together. We sell our pics and stories to a big magazine. Then we plan a wedding, make it all scandalous by having my mom get all mad and stuff, and then sell our wedding photos for a gazillion dollars. Oh and let’s do a reality show too while we’re at it! I’ve always wanted my own TV show!
Levi: I’m on the next plane. Let’s do this thang!
It just all smells too fishy. It just seems way too suspicious that Bristol didn’t tell her parents about getting back with Levi before going to the UsWeekly. Did she tear a page out of the Real Housewives book to build drama to use for fodder for a reality TV show, a show that has been talked about since their reconciliation was announced. Bu then their camp denied those reports. But now there are rumors that they’re just fine tuning the offer/s, wanting a long term commitment and more security – not from each other but from a network.
And reportedly Sarah isn’t immune to trying to cash in on the kids. There are rumors that she was trying to sell photos and a “make-up” interview with her and Levin for $150,000. But no one bit. And supposedly now it’s on sale for $10,000 and still no one wants it! Doh!
So do you think Levi and Bristol are just back together to cash in and extend their 15 minutes? Or is it the real deal? If it ain’t, it’s a shame their young son Tripp may be a pawn in this publicity game.
And check out UsWeekly’s new video of Bristol talking about how mom Sarah doesn’t approve of the engagement below.

Theo commented on Jul 21 10 at 7:19 pmYou must have been a little fly on the wall–you have this story exactly right. I do not know if Levi told Bristol about the money he got from the Palins to read the public apology about his untruths. But you betcha that Sarah, Bristol and Levi have all sat down together to see how they can get the most money out of this scenario. This engagement ought to keep the Palin name in the news for a few weeks and will eclipse any attention that Chelsea Clinton might get about her wedding. The pit bull in lipstick just loves being the center of attention–and doesn’t want to share it with anyone! It reminds her of her days in high school when Saracuda got so much attention for averaging less than two points per game and was known for not being a team player–she is still bragging about that!
