Lindsay Lohan: My Father Is Crazy & He Scares Me
Lindsay Lohan is currently staying in a sober house and heads to jail for 90 days tomorrow for breaching probation. In the wake of this, her parents have been making the media rounds. While she is on good terms with her mother Dina, it is a different story with her father Michael who has constantly been a problem.
Michael has been on an endless press blitz, pseudo-supporting his daughter and talking to any camera or paper or blog or high school newspaper or what-have-you that he can. He tried to get Lindsay help! Her mother Dina wouldn’t let him! Give him attention!
In response, Lindsay is giving him attention. The negative kind. And she’s doing it on Twitter.
“I don’t want my ex-father anywhere near me no matter where I am. He is crazy and scares me,” she wrote.
In a seperate Tweet she said: “I don’t want Michael Lohan Sr. anywhere near me, no matter where I am. I am in a great place and he only brings negativity in my world.”
These statements came directly after Michael said that Lindsay’s new lawyer, Robert Shapiro, should try and make an appeal of the sentence instead of putting her into rehab. “It’s a conflict of interest if he’s putting her in his own sober house but not doing anything for her legally,” Michael said.
Michael isn’t saying that Lindsay shouldn’t go to rehab. Instead, he is concerned because Lindsay is addicted to prescription drugs. When you have a doctor’s prescription, you are still given them in prison. “It’s a continuous cycle. Here you are punishing a girl because she has a drug problem, or at least for things that resulted from a drug problem and not doing anything to fix it.”
This is a valid point. Lindsay may have gone into the sober house to help get clean or for an ulterior reason. The place is owned by her lawyer and having Lindsay enter the facility gives it major press. He may be cutting her a deal on representation for the coverage, and therefore paying patients, she will bring. Of course, she could have also gone on for both reasons.
