Eat Pray Love: Do You Want To Go Italy, India & Bali with Julia Roberts?
One thing about being a parent of young kids. Those carefree days of gallivanting across the globe are far, far gone. Instead of loading up a giant backpack and jetting off to exotic locales in the hopes of romance and adventure, those of us who chose to procreate find ourselves packing the mini van to go camping or heading off to DisneyWorld for the week. But coming up on August 13th you’ll be able to transport yourself to Italy, India and Bali –vicariously that is – through the screen adaptation of the uber-hit Eat Pray Love…
When talking to parents, one of the things they miss most about their pre-kid life (besides sleep) is being able to travel to anywhere at anytime without wondering if there will be changing stations, kid friendly grub or a crib. But although it’ll be a long time before you feel comfortable or even be able to afford a foreign adventure you can always just bask in Julia Roberts’ glow as she finds herself in the beautiful locales of Italy, India and Bali.
And Julia wasn’t alone when they went and filmed on location. She brought the kids. Her husband and three children 5-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel and 3-year-old Henry came with her for the entire four month shoot.
“Her kids got to watch as Mom gained seven pounds in Italy eating her way through platefuls of pasta and pizza; suffered a fever of 102 in India … and endured humidity so intense in Bali that she was practically squeegeeing off the sweat. “I’ve never changed clothes so many times in the course of a day,” Julia said to the New York Times.
Now most of us would never have that kind of opportunity to go to any of those distant lands, let alone with our kids (and get paid mega-bucks to do it). But for the price of a movie ticket, we can pretend for two hours and go on the journey with Julia.
Are you looking forward to seeing Eat Pray Love?
