Mario Lopez in Search of a Non-Hollywood Baby Name. He Wants Your Help!
Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza are expecting baby #1, and finding that even for a celebrity, the name game can be tough. If you read the Mario Lopez Twitter page, you may already know that! “I dont know if Im having a boy or a girl, so having trouble picking a name. Something that represents our Mexican-Italian backgrounds,” he tweeted yesterday. And then, this:
“Not into the whole Hollywood baby name thing either…It bugs me. Name suggestions?”
The Hollywood baby name thing?
Who exactly is the Extra TV host mocking? Apple, Zuma, Pilot Inspektor, and Kyd (see the deets on these celebrity baby names on Babble’s Worst Names page)? Perhaps! No argument here. After all, its about time that an insider speak out on the subject.
Show Mario and Courtney (and the Mario Lopez baby-to-be!) some love by offering a suggestion below. Mexican, Italian, or something in-between, just make sure it’s a name that really is a name.

Joanne Justis commented on Jul 17 10 at 2:01 pmBaby naming is not what you think. The name parents-to-be assign or “ink” on the birth certificate will affect your child’s entire life. You are actually giving your child a blueprint when you assign a name along with the birthdate. The name reveals your child’s personal characteristics/traits while the birthdate reveals his/her development areas.
It’s unfortunate that this secret still for the most part remains a secret. Baby names can be tested prior to assigning the name to insure that your child will be given balanced characteristics.
The most important gift parents can bestow on their child is the name they assign their baby which makes the name “priceless.” Doesn’t your baby deserve a priceless gift for life–one that took you great care and thought to give?
