Texas Real-Estate Showdown: Sandra Bullock’s Home VS. Jesse James’ (PHOTOS)

Sandra Bullock and son Louis split their time between a sprawling, lavish New Orleans house and a sprawling, lavish estate in Austin, Texas. It’s no news to celebrity watchers that her ex, Jesse James, is hoping to move to Austin with his kids, to be closer to Sandra. Now we’ve got pictures of Bullock’s Austin home and James’ Austin spread. Yup, that means it’s time for a celebrity real estate showdown.

Both properties are extensive, and look like paradises for children, complete with plenty of room to roam (or hike, or mountain bike) and gorgeous swimming pools. And yet, there are big differences. Take a look.

The top two pics are of the Sandra Bullock Austin compound. The first photo gives an overview of the grounds, complete with house, barn, and boathouse. The second photo shows the pool area and gardens.

Below, check out two views of Jesse’s new home. It appears to be completely inland, unlike Bullock’s house, yet still has an impressive pool. And kids, please note: in the second pic of Jesse’s home, I spy a trampoline on the grounds! The overall aesthetic is a bit less rustic than Sandy’s, though still in the spirit of fun.

Interesting. I think my kids would go for the lake house and non-cheating spouse, thank you very much. I just read there is a book coming out about her house trial in Texas. Any news on that?
