Charles Barkley Says Tiger Woods Owes Elin an Apology
Three months ago, in the midst of the extremely public Tiger Woods scandal, the golfer’s friend, baskeball star Charles Barkley, stood behind the guy who scorned wife Elin Nordegren with multiple affairs. Barkley told Fox Sports Radio’s The Hartman and Friends Show that he was “sick of everybody taking shots at [Tiger Woods].”
Barkley, claims he didn’t know about any of the affairs while they were happening, but still supported Woods while what seemed like most of the country was against the golf star. But things are a bit different now. Just a few days ago, Barkley told Life & Style that Woods should indeed ask wife Elin Nordegren for forgiveness. “He owes his wife an apology. He made a mistake,” Barkley said. Elin is expected to receive a reported $100 million in the divorce settlement, but an apology along with the cash might not be so bad–perhaps Barkley has a point. Giving an apology could go a long way with helping the kids cope with everything that’s happening right now. At least they’ll know their parents can be civil and honest.
Despite the former NBA player Barkley’s honest opinion on the subject, though, he says he still supports Woods. “He’s my friend no matter what. I don’t judge other people, only God can.”
He just tells them what they should do.

Woods’mistake may have been hanging around with ‘friends’ who have no morals and principles.

Tiger has certainly made public apologies several times, there’s no logical reason to assume Tiger hasn’t apologized to his wife multiple times already, and then some. And Farida, other than yourself, no one else has said “apologize and everything is forgotten”; so what are you even talking about?

Jay commented on Jul 07 10 at 5:39 amOkay, I’m sick and tired of people saying Woods made a “mistake”. A mistake is maybe picking up oranges when the recipe calls for lemons. Woods did NOT make a mistake, what he did to his marriage was planned and calculated. He made plans with all those different women, snuck around to see them, lied, made them hotel reservations, etc., for YEARS this was going on. It was a LIFESTYLE, NOT a mistake. How would HE feel if he found out, guys, that his wife was doing this to HIM, and he was the decent one at home being good and raising the kids, huh? He’d probably never speak to her again. I think Elin has handled this admirably. She has held her head high with self respect and has been more than decent. Woods put her at risk for AIDS, HIV, STD’S as the woman all said he did not use protection. These diseases can lie dormat for years, she may never be out of the clear because of this lying, sicko cheat of a man, who has NO values or morals, if he did, he would not have done what he was doing. $100 million is NOT enough for what he did and put her through, he could have killed her giving her a disease. She should at least get half of what he is worth, and if he had any decency at all in that horrid mind of his, that is what he will give her. Imagine him explaining to his kids when they are older what dad did, they can read all about their daddy’s wh0′s on the internet and what he did, nice huh? Want to find out your dad is like that? What a horrid man Woods is. Wish he would retire and sneak away never to be seen on a course again. Good riddance.
