In the wake of child abuse charges against Britney Spears, the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services has paid a visit to Spears’ home. That’s not a surprise: any time a complaint is lodged against a parent in California, DCFS is compelled to visit. So what did they find out about Britney Spears’ kids?

“During the visit by officials, there was absolutely no signs of abuse. The boys are happy well adjusted toddlers that love their mama and Britney is fiercely protective of them,” a source close to the Spears family told RadarOnline.com. “The investigation is 95 percent complete and no further action will be required. All that is essentially going to be done at this point is for the paperwork to be finished and then the case will be closed.”

Last time DCFS visited Spears was in 2007, after her former bodyguard told officials that the pop star was doing drugs. She briefly lost custody of both sons after that investigation. Britney Spears’ sons are now ages 3 and 4.
