The Sandra Bullock-Jesse James Divorce Papers: What It Means
The Sandra Bullock divorce papers reveal one very clear fact: this split is complete, clean, and paves the way for Sandra to start over. The papers were filed on monday in Texas, and splits the kids down the middle. Sandra gets Louis (or, as the papers state, “there is no child of the marriage”), Jesse gets the kids he brought into the marriage. Most interestingly, though the papers were filed in a Texas court and approved by a Texas judge, that’s not the state in which Sandra signed them. Her signature was witnessed and approved by a notary public in Louisiana on June 24.
What’s all this mean for Bullock?
It means she’ll never have to battle James for custody of Louis, that she has no legal rights to Jesse’s three kids (though reportedly his move to Austin was motivated by his desire that Sandra remain in these kids’ lives), and they’re both free and clear to find new mates. Or, to live solo. There’s no shame in being a single mom. As Sandra’s learned the hard way, it certainly beats co-parenting with the wrong guy.
