gisele 1 e12726326051801 Gisele Says Baby Ben is Potty Trained...at 6 Months! Huh?Giesele Bundchen bragged to a Brazilian website that baby Benjamin Brady, her 6-month-old son with husband Tom Brady, is already toilet-trained. Seriously? Seriously. According to this translation of the article, Benjamin does his dirty in the potty right after breastfeeding every morning and afternoon. “Give it about five minutes, and bang,” she told the site. The most interesting tidbit? For Gisele, potty training is all about saving the environment. Yes, her motivation for teaching Benji to use the can is all ecological.

“Diapers pollute the environment,” she explained. “Where does this garbage go?” The worst part? Every time Benji does it, Gisele calls in her twin sister, Patricia, to take a look. Patricia is not amused.

Also, it seems that Benjamin is not yet peeing in the potty. He’s only mastered doing #2 on command. What’s the tyke waiting for?

Gisele is the biggest liar out there. She is rude and she lies constantly. Tom Brady has even started saying strange things the past few years he used to be normal.

I’m not surprised, its definitely possible. She seems like a great mom!

well, she’s right. where do you think the thousands of diapers an average american baby uses end up? you seem a little threatened by the idea, but I think she’s doing a great [and not easy] thing.

It’s actually called Elimination Communication in babies that early and it’s not all that uncommon. It’s not “training” the babies in the same way you would potty train a 2 yr old! It is watching for your baby’s cues and reading their body language to “catch” the pees or poops.

If true, one of them is trained, but I don’t think it’s the baby. Elimination communication is very common but the onus is entirely on the parent. The baby isn’t potty trained in the traditional sense.

hehehe, he is not potty trained!!! she just knows when he goes and holds him over the potty so he can drop his #2. However, I worried a lot about diapers and the fact that all that trash does not go anywhere.

I don’t think she’s lying. I know lots of moms who have done elimination communication with great results. Good for her for nursing as well!

How do you save diapers if he is peeing in them all day? Besides she could use cloth diapers if she is so concerned.

The author could have done a little research. EC is common among eco-conscious and natural moms, but it is also the societal norm in many countries all over the world.

We started Elimination Communication at 6 weeks with our girl and it is a wonderful way to tune into you childs needs and now at 15 months she has stared to tell me when she has to go! I hope that people understand that it’s not all about the environment! If I couldn’t take myself to the washroom I would much prefer someone offer to help me!

*rolls her eyes* So Giselle has said nothing about her kid being potty trained? Just that he poops in the potty like my dd did at that age? Good for her! I wish people would use their brains instead of clinging to these modern ideas about babies having to poop in diapers.

I had a go with elimination communication with my daughter and at 6 months she was doing all her poos in the potty. It was a reflex. I knew there was a good chance she would poo 10 minutes after having lunch. Anything is better than a dirty nappy.

However it all went hideously wrong when my daughter discovered mobility and developed true bladder control. I think in other parts of the world there are hard floors and toilet accidents are less of an issue.
