Prince Albert of Monaco to Marry
Prince Albert II of Monaco, 52, son of the late Grace Kelly, finally met the woman of his dreams and is set to marry Charlene Wittstock, 32, a former school teacher and competitive swimmer from South Africa. The two have been an item since 2006, and will undoubtedly get right to the task of making future heirs to the throne. Although there are already two other offspring Prince Albert has from other women that might not qualify for official royal service.
In 2005, Prince Albert officially acknowledged a toddler son he’d fathered with a Togolese flight attendant. In 2006, he also said he fathered another child born out of wedlock: a daughter, now 18, in California. I’m not up on royal rules, but I’m not sure if either of them would be in line for the throne… Regardless, congrats to the royal family, who has certainly had their share of heart ache and controversy.
