Break Ups: Were Jake and Vienna Just Acting?
Dry those eyes. There’s no need to cry just because the world won’t be graced with the spawn of Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. Yes, the Bachelor couple have broken up. The two became engaged on the finale of the 14th season of the Bachelor and the two were looking forward to getting married and Vienna was excited to someday having babies with her Bachelor.
So why did they break up? They aren’t talking yet, their rep told OK! that, “Jake and Vienna have split and appreciate the respect for their privacy at this time.” In other words. “We ain’t saying. So there.”
I had the opportunity to see the couple in action on the ‘blue’ carpet of Disneyland’s World of Color Premiere. I should confess, I don’t know much about the two. I don’t watch the Bachelor or Dancing With The Stars, but just seeing the two interact on the carpet , with the reporters, the fans and each other, it seemed like a relationship of convenience. They were just a bit too “on.” It looked too much like a performance. All smiles, giggles and awkward posing. It appeared like the two were playing the roles of a couple in love, it seemed far too calculated and somewhat cool, an underlying frigidness. So was their relationship ever real? Or just a part of the Bachelor/Bachelorette machine? But to not be too jaded, there are the occasional real relationships that come out of the series. Take Trista and Ryan Sutter fell in love on the show, got hitched and have two beautiful kids as a result. And Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney got married in February. So although the odds are against them, love can be made.

Jake wants to be a “top celebrity” and Vienna was along for the ride. Jake just doesn’t have time to be bothered with her now. He is having his few moments of fame.
