Claudia Schiffer was spotted in London, donning pretty much the same style post-maternity as when she was still carrying baby number three. She wore black tights, a mini dress, big sunglasses, a long colorful scarf and of course, the short black boots that she wore consistently throughout her pregnancy. What was she up to on this lovely June day?INFphoto 1319114 Post Baby Bod: Claudia Schiffer Spotted Registering Her New Addition

She headed down to her local Town Hall to register her baby, something that people in England have to do I assume. In the States it seems like it’s something that the hospitals do for you, which is great since new moms are busy enough!

In England, you have six weeks to register your baby’s birth (three weeks in Scotland). This gives parents time to get to know their baby a little bit, instead of panic-naming their new child. (Apparently, if the Amanda Peet story is true, some hospitals in the US won’t *let* new mothers take their babies home until they’ve named them!)

Plus, many more babies are born in birth centres and at home in the UK, so a lot of babies would slip through the net if it were left in the hands of hospitals.
