Could Perez Hilton Go To Jail For Miley-Gate?
Could Perez Hilton’s attempt at being controversial and kooky land him in the clink? There is speculation that it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Perez could be prosecuted for what I’ve been fondly referring to as Miley-gate. (Adding that “gate” really does make it seem like an official scandal doesn’t it? ) Anyhoo…Perez allegedly posted a photo of what looked like a panty-less 17-year-old Miley Cyrus via Twitter. The photo was quickly “scrubbed” off the internet, but the damage was done. Salon talked to a child porn defense attorney who stated that posting the photo was “suicidal for [Perez],” and that “we’re not talking about a misdemeanor.”
In the other pictures from the photo shoot, Miley is apparently clearly wearing undies so there is speculation that her nakedness was photoshopped in. The attorney said on the topic that, “Under the law, that is still a crime and it is punishable just the same. If you were to take the face of an 8-year-old and put that picture on the nude body of even an identifiable, fully-developed adult porn star, it is child porn punishable identical to if you took a photo of the actual child.”
But the big question is, why would he post the photo in the first place? Do you think what he did is a crime and he should do some time? And what do Miley’s mom and dad think of all this?
