Mom Cat Fight! Gwyneth Paltrow Versus Madonna
There have long been rumors that BFFs since 1999 Madonna, 51, and Gwyneth Paltrow, 37, have had some issues over the last several years — and now sources say the two no longer speak. Paltrow said in a May’s British Vogue: “I’m having a situation right now with a friend where I’m feeling pretty angry” and many think she could be referring to Madonna. So what do sources say is the crux of the problem?
Well, one source implies Gwyneth envies Madonna (for what exactly, one wonders?)
“They don’t speak,” says the insider. “I can’t tell you exactly why they had the falling out, but Gwyneth can be jealous and competitive.”
What makes more sense is that since Madonna’s divorce in 2008 “Gwyneth and Madonna [have] less in common.” Everyone knows different lifestyles can make people grow apart.
Both have lost besties before, so surely they’ll survive. Madonna ditched former friend Sandra Bernhard around 1991; Paltrow cut ties with Winona Ryder in 1998.
Maybe yoga will bring them back together?
