100205NR6 MORISSETTE B GR 02 e1275963793113 Rapper Souleye, Alanis Morissette Get Married! Kids Next?Rapper Souleye and singer Alanis Morissette got married last weekend in a private ceremony. It s the first marriage for both Morissette, 36, and Souleye, 30, whose given name is actually Mario Treadway. News of their union came today via—what else—Twitter.

“So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married,” Morisssette tweeted. “We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other….sending love…connect soon xo – Alanis”

Now that the happy coupe have made it official, will we be hearing the pitter-patter of tiny feet any time soon? If you go by what Morissette has said in the past, it seems like a pretty good bet they won’t wait long.

A few times over the past few years, Morissette has indicated that she’d like kids. “I always imagined having kids in my late 30s,” she told People in 2008.  “I’m in no rush.”

But if and when any kids arrive, one place we probably won’t see them is onstage.

“I think a child in the entertainment industry is a form of child abuse,” Morissette told Contact Music last year. “If my kids want to do it, there might be school activities that I would support them participating in, but in terms of becoming a workaholic at that age I will be disallowing.”
