Is Jennifer Gilbert The New Real Housewives Of New York Cast Member?

833 TV Real Housewives of NYC sff embedded prod affiliate 81 225x300 Is Jennifer Gilbert The New Real Housewives Of New York Cast Member?Jennifer Gilbert sort of snuck onto the scenes of The Real Housewives of New York City as an event planner for Jill Zarin’s party. It seemed like she was just an extra and not meant to be a new member of the cast. However, she was actually tapped to take part as a full time cast member.

TV crews followed Jennifer for three months at her homes in New York and in the Hamptons. She’s not going to be on the reunion though and she was rarely seen on screen. What happened?

She wasn’t totally crazy. “I don’t know there’s anything I could’ve done differently to advocate for myself without looking obnoxious,” Jennifer told the AP. “I found in a lot of situations if you didn’t scream the loudest or say the meanest thing you weren’t heard.”

Sounds about right.

“I was surprised because I really did film quite a lot,” she says. “When I walked in I didn’t know about the fight that Jill and Bethenny had gotten into. It was already on a train that had left the station so I was doing a lot of catch-up.”

Bravo has added Sonja Morgan as a new member and has yet to decide whether or not to ask Jennifer on for the next season. With Bethenny Frankel leaving the show, there’s a spot open.

However, Jennifer may not be up for the task. “It’s not like I’m timid and afraid to speak my mind,” she says. “I’m just not inappropriate, and I’m not going to say something that’s mean just for the sake of saying it. That’s never going to be me. If that’s what they’re looking for then I’m probably not the right fit.”

Something tells me unless she learns how to be rude, spiteful, and to borrow a term from Kelly Bensimon, bullying, she’s not going to be appearing.

I liked Jennifer the instant she made the ‘Truth’ comment at the luncheon with Kelly after the trip. You could see by her expression that she wasn’t buying Kelly’s story of what happened on the trip.

Jennifer’s career and life style is exactly what I would like to see on Bravo. I started out watching RHONY to be inspired by women of class who have made something of themselves and were giving back to their community. Now I might as well be watching Jerry Springer.

We, the viewers of Real Housewives of New York are fed up with Jill Zarin and the way she is portrayed in the press and on TV. Just last
night she was on EXTRA promoting a book thatis well known to be garbage. A. Chandle the #1 reviewer at Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/review/RA5UPKPM4DJAK has been threatened and harassed by Jill Zarin. Jill Zarin has written positive reviews for her own book under fake names while posting negative reviews to her castmate’s books. She also has a history of posting fake reviews dating back to 1995 at the Fabric store her husband owns. Please keep this woman off TV and out of the press. It is time for her to pay the consequences for her actions.
Thank You,
Housewives viewers

I guess you missed her on the finale falling right in step with Jill’s whining about no food prior to the vow renewal. Then she took one look at the event planner, trashed her out of one side of mouth and smiled at her and said pleased to meet you out of the other side. Classy behavior.

Oh please, leave her off; she is as boring as Kelly, Jill and LuAnn. I beg you to not have another stupid, mean, bitchy woman on the show. Jennifer came off as ridiculous and trying so hard to fit in as well as trying to land a spot on the show…desperate! In fact Bravo, I am certain there are many amazing, beautiful, gifted, generous, NICE women in NY who offer value to the world, these women do not and shame on Bravo for glamorizing their despicable behavior. I can’t watch anymore.

I agree she is just as phony and spiteful as Jill.

I just figured out why Sonja was added – because now LuAnn and Jill now count as one, correct?

Enough w/ these characters. No more season 3 please. Give us a more interesting and worthwhile show rather than this franchise. Betheny has her own different show, let’s see if it’s worth but more housewives? gosh how many versions of housewives do we have to see? they are all the same….where is this show going further, to actual brawl next time? it’s demeaning to the mothers and women of all states.

Jennifer appears too normal for this crowd. I’d rather watch normalcy any day, like it all started out as in Orang Cty. Drama sure, but it’s become trash tv!

I liked her right up until she made the snarky comment about Ramona’s party planner. It was completely out of line. She’s not as nice as she wants everyone to believe. Or — if she believes she’s a nice person then she’s just as delusional as Kelly, Jill & the Countess.

Terri commented on Jun 07 10 at 5:58 pm

I agree with Terri, I really liked her and thought she’d be a great replacement for Jillford, who really needs to take her toxic hate and middle school girl routine elsewhere, but when she made that horrible comment about Ramona’s planner for no reason I thought she was just Jillous-Lite, or Diet Jillzy…

Hello?! Is anyone watching the same show as me?!

Jennifer says she isn’t going to say something mean just for the sake of saying it – that that will never be her.

Wtf?!

This woman spoke a total of 3 times and 2 out of those 3 times she was saying something nasty and unnecessary. The two that come to mind off the top of my head are the derogatory comments she made about Countless’s date and the comment about Ramona’s wedding planner.

At least when B or R are rude, they are usually speaking the truth about someone or a situation. Jennifers comment were unprovoked, and uncalled for both times.

I think she would be good for the show, she will cause a lot of unnecessary drama like Kelly – starting fights for no reason. I think the problem is not that she isn’t crazy or bitchy enough – the problem is that no one cared enough to respond to her bitchy comments and create drama out of it.

I don’t think this is the place to recommend to Bravo to keep or not keep Jennifer. I don’t even think that they read the comments on the blogs at their own web site. I think that Jill is very immature and I can’t believe all the TV shows that I see her on. It seems that Joy Behar really values her opinion. My opinion of Joy Behar isn’t any better than Jill Zarin’s. I don’t think that anything Joy Behar says is funny and I think that she is crude.
