Why Did Al Gore and Tipper Break Up?
When the news broke that Al Gore and Tipper Gore would be ending their forty year marriage, most probably thought “what happened?” The two had what looked like a perfect marriage. In their “sorry everyone we give up” email they wrote they said that their separation was a “a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration.” So what broke them up?
The couple is not currently announcing what the motive was yet for their break-up but here are five guesses:
They grew apart in their interests:
This is a common occurrence with people who have been married a long time. Their interests and passions became different. These days, the Gores haven’t been unified and focused on a political campaign, working together. Instead Al Gore has been busy with his environment and global warming work and Tipper has been working on causes related to mental health.
Too much time apart:
Al is a travelin’ man. He’s always here, there and everywhere talking about climate change issues. When you’re not around someone that much, then it may not feel like you are married at all.
They got married too young.
A writer recently pointed out that, “Statistics gathered by the Centers for Disease Control show, in general, that among women who marry between ages 20 and 24, as Tipper did, after 10 years, 29 percent are divorced. And after 20 years, the number rises to 41 percent.” So at forty years, the numbers are probably much greater.
The new house
One of the main things that partners argue about is money. In April the couple bought a massive home in the Montecito area for almost nine million dollars. It’s a huge mansion, perhaps they picked it up so they can each have their own space when they do find themselves together. Or maybe it’s just a really, really nice parting gift for the Tipper. But the timing of the purchase does seem a bit odd.
Is One of Them Cheating?
When couples break up, one of the many conclusions people jump to is that one, the other, or both were having an extramarital affair. And there are a whole lot of politicians being caught with their pants down these days. But this is a theory that many may think about but most doubt is the case.
Why do you think they broke up?

Rhys Gold commented on Jun 04 10 at 3:27 pmThe Inconvenient Truth may have something to do with the fact that Al Gore has been promoting a TOTAL and utter lie about global warming to promote CAP n TRADE which will finance a new world government that will redistribute nearly one third of the USA’s wealth. He is already being embarrassed by the truth that global warming data WAS falsified.
Secondly, and more importantly, he said he testified that EVERY penny he earned was going to HELP fight global warming…then he buys a NINE MILLION dollar home in Montecito.
Tipper is a class act…I think she has found it too inconvenient to live with the truth that AL Gore’s has no integrity and his outrageous sellout of America.

Al Gore does a lot of good that you don’t even know about. Go back to listening to Beck on FNC and keep your hateful opinions to yourself.
