SPOTTED: Matt Lauer’s Kids, Two Weeks After Divorce Rumors
Today, two weeks after the Matt Lauer cheating scandal broke, his wife and kids were spotted on the street. Lauer denies the cheating and divorce rumors. These pics seem to support his case. Wife Annette Roque is shown walking children Jack, Romy, and Thijs to school on New York City’s Upper East Side. They look like a totally happy, normal family. More pics below, plus one very curious question.
Question: JACK LAUER? Is this some sort of veiled Jack Bauer reference? Or is it the other way around? Matt Lauer’s son Jack Lauer debuted in June, 2001, five months before Jack Bauer debuted in 24 on FOX. So 24 was already in production when Jack Lauer was named. Yes, I’m sure this is all in my head. But when we’re this close to the 24 series finale, it’s all I can think about (sorry, Lost folks).
And now, the photos… Note the slightly overdressed mom, and hipster shoes on all three kids. And as for the Matt Lauer divorce, we’d say that, for now, it’s off:

It’s just like all the others: first they all deny it; next, a picture or voice mail or text comes out; then, everyone admits it; finally, they all apologize; and ultimately, they go to rehab. Same old story. I guess these guys just got married to appear credible and to have children.
Stephanie Murry commented on Apr 06 11 at 8:01 pmI am not condoning the behavior of Matt Lauer, but as indicated he had an affair with a married woman in 1998 prior to getting married as she new this. Should that not indicate to his wife the kind of person he is. She married him anyway. The person she married is the person he is. So I can only say shame on her.
